Karl Lagerfeld

"Lagerfeld Digest". Text by Alex Hawgood. T - The New York Times Style Magazine. Spring 2008.
excerpted text:

"Karl Lagerfeld's interest in architecture isn't limited to his many houses, as two new books of his architectural photographs so elegantly illustrate. "Karl Lagerfeld: Thee examples of 20th Century Modern Architecture" is a heavy-duty box set showcasing three of the most distinctive buildings in the world: Curzio Malaparte's Casa Malparte, Perugini's La Casa Albero Nella Pineta di Fregene and Tadao Ando's Vitra Conference Pavilion. "Konktret Abstract Gesehen," on the other hand, finds our ponytailed polymath taking grainy, abstracted shots of sidewalk cracks, straircases and other fragments of urban existence. Despite his passion for architecture, Lagerfeld suggests that he has no plan to design a house anytime soon: "Fashion, photgraphy, books. That's all"".
